Beautiful place, the hotel, the rooms, the grounds, all fantastic.

This hotel has big rooms, clean, comfortable rooms. We were lucky to have one on the ground floor that had its own sliding door to the grounds outside, so you could relax in the small park-like setting. The breakfasts were very fresh and tasty with a big selection.

Solid German style from the era of famous austrian painter.

Solid German environment that reminds of the long goneby era. Huge rooms, mine had two bathrooms. Nice sitting area for the breakfast and the breakfast itself. Quiet residential neighborhood with a garden. Bad: Bit far from city center, you need to get a taxi to get there. On the other hand easy to get to from major east west motorway going thru the town.

Exclusive Retreat from the 70s

I love how old the place was, it seems like a 70s 5 star, exclusive retreat, frozen in time. Dispite having the mod cons, if you are a fan of modern this place might disappoint. Great breakfast, walking distance to a township with bakery, German restaurant etc, massive room, 2 storays. Also a short walk to bus stop, staff were very helpful giving us info in what bus to take etc, along with a map. Bad: The pillow, although I find it common in Germany to have a very flat lifeless pillow, this was particularly flat. The hotel has some great facilities on ground floor to use, however one night of our stay was a wedding so we were not able to use these ie comfy chairs reading book by fire or use the bar. Bonus however dispite a wedding party being on, we did not hear this.

Cozy and clean in quiet location

Located in a very quiet area yet conveniently not too far from the highway this cozy hotel is perfect for someone who wants to stop for rest before hitting the road again. Room was very clean, however a bit small (we were informed when we arrive after 01:00am that we are getting a small room even tho we booked standard double room, but we had no energy to get into discussion about it). Breakfast was very tasty.

Great breakfast

Good first impressions. Staff spoke English well. Rooms clean, old fashioned. Very nice breakfast and had gluten free choices! Shame there was no restaurant on site but the trip to Dresden town centre was worth it.

James on Hotels.com, 26.08.2018

Good hotel for an overnight stop - would benefit from a restaurant.

Unfortunately no restaurant for an evening meal, and the bar, whilst well appointed and comfortable, was somewhat lacking in variety. However, in general, a lovely hotel, reasonably close to the motorway, but quiet.

Nice Hotel on the outskirt of Dresden

Our two couples stayed at this hotel for one night as we were travelling from Poland back to Prague thru Dresden in Germany. The Weltemuhle is a nice but old facility that offers comfort as well as quietness at a very reasonable price. The rooms were kind of classy but very clean and comfortable. The breakfast for a given fee was just amazing. It was a fifteen minute drive to go to the Dresden downtown but still easy with little traffic.

Dan_Explorateur on TripAdvisor, 26.07.2018

beautiful historical hotel!

although not directly in the old town of Dresden, it was very quick and easy to get there. Friendly personnel. Free WIFI, great TV! Location Tip: Hotel is in quiet area, surrounded by fields and a little forest. it was convenient to have free parking available. we had a big surprise with our "regular" double room by finding a nice suit instead! It was very comfortable. Breakfast was very good.

Nice and helpful reception. The property as is in the advertisement. Clean room and many places to park (underground and private park yard). All worth the price! Bad: Quite far from city center. The bus stop is in front of the hotel but have to arrange your time more strictly.

Probably wouldn't stay there again.

The staff was non-existent. We virtually has no contact with them. At breakfast, which was average at best, no one ever smiled or acknowledge us in any way. The location, while very wooded and spacious with plenty of parking, was a 30 minute drive into the city. Parking in the city was very difficult to find and very expensive. There is no on street parking at all without a permit in the central city area. We did find a really cute Italian restaurant in the area actually run by an Italian family. Lovely people and great food at a reasonable price. The name of the place is Osteria il Nonno....Great food!!! Bad: The staff was non-existent. We virtually has no contact with them. Nice hotel

The hotel is not really close to anything, so you need to be prepared that you need to drive into town for all.your needs. For our purposes it worked out ok tho. The room was spacious and clean. There are only a few things I didn't care about. The parking is a bit inconvenient. There is a parking garage below the hotel, but they are charging an additional 5 Euros per night. Unfortunately the only way to know that is when you already drove down that steep and narrow driveway to the parking garage and read the sign to check in at the reception first. At that point you have to put your car in reverse and see how to get back up the curved driveway without ruining your clutch. The free parking is a bit of a walk on cobble stones and a pain when the weather is not nice or the luggage is heavy. The second thing we absolutely didn't like it that we had absolutely NO Internet. Apparently the room we stayed in has no reception whatsoever, which was a known fact. The only way to connect to the outside world and report back to friends and family overseas was to take a laptop into the reception area and log in from there. I wish the hotel management would consider investing in a 50 dollar range extender.

Comfort and quality in a perfect location

We stayed at Hotel Villa Weltemuhle for 3 nights. We chose 2 doubel rooms with the view over the park and we had a very nice stay. The silent of the surroundings and the comfort of the huge rooms ensured a very good stay in the hotel. The breakfast in the "patio" , served in big, rounded tables, was a good deal too. We only had some issues during our check-out, due to some inner mistake of the hotel server, but we solved it thanks to the receptionist and her colleague. However we have to underline that the Hotel has some issues with the parking: during the reservation - made through Booking- it was not mentioned that the parking slots are subjected to limitation. This meaning that we had to park our car along the street outside. Morever, our friends staying in the rooms besides ours, had some issues with one of the two sink in the bathroom: but nobody took care to fix it.

Perfect place for rest during a business trip !

I enjoyed staying in the hotel for the third time already. Breakfasts with "Samovar" and "Pfannkuchen" is really a great start of the day. Quietness and greenery helps relax after busy workshops. Definitely will come again. Bad: Please, please, please do something with wifi ! It is mostly unusable on the cell phone and barely enough for skyping home in the evening. And if laptop OS decides to update -- no more internet this evening.
